ABOUT US

 With the support of the International Labor Organization, Pakistan's Social Security Scheme was established on March 1st, 1967, in accordance with West Pakistan Employees' Social Security Ordinance No. X of 1965. But on July 1, 1970, when the Scheme was reformed on a provincial basis following the breakup of One-Unit, the Sindh Employees' Social Security Institution (SESSI) was created. The Scheme was initially intended to provide coverage for Karachi and Hyderabad-based textile sector workers. After seeing positive outcomes, the Scheme was expanded to include all other commercial entities and industries.

SESSI is a separate entity, and a three-sided Overseeing Body is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Foundation's initiatives. The Foundation follows any instructions on questions of strategy that may occasionally be given to it by the Public authority in order to conduct its business.

 SESSI is a group that provides assistance. The Foundation's ability to provide government support to the working class is unique in its nature. It aims to provide medical offices and financial benefits to the hired workers and their dependents.

Organization: A three-sided Overseeing Body is responsible for the general direction and management of the Establishment's projects. The Establishment is guided in its operations by any directions on questions of strategy that the Public authority may from time to time issue it.

 Over 70% of SESSI's budget is allocated to providing clinical consideration offices to hired laborers and their dependents, making clinical consideration the organization's primary focus.

 Cash Benefits: As part of a government-sponsored retirement programme, workers are eligible for cash sickness benefits, injury benefits, maternity benefits, iddat benefits, ex-gratia awards, and disablement tips and annuities. Dependents also receive a survivors' annuity and death benefits.
